Our Story
Welcome to Claridon Township. This township lies in the eastern part of Marion County, Ohio, and covers 36 square miles of land. Four state routes pass through the township and a railroad with an inner model to accommodate cargo transfers and access a large industrial area. The airport provides travel options to the many businesses in the area and county. Agriculture covers a large part of the township, and many types of crops are grown here. The western side of the township has four housing developments and access to a large retail/grocery chain and hardware/lumber chain.

The River Valley School system is the largest of the county schools, and Tri-Rivers is the joint vocational school, having students from several of the surrounding counties attending. The village of Caledonia lies in the northeast corner of the township and was the boyhood home of the 49th President, Warren G Harding. First Consolidated Fire District, a full-time department established in 1970, provides fire and EMS services to the village and township.
